Having a nice day in IOWA as our city in Ankeny and Des Moines is preparing for RAGBRAI tomorrow as 70,000 bicycle enthusiasts ride through Ankeny on the way to Des Moines. Then they ride EAST to East Iowa as the 500 mile ride peddles through the 50th year through towns and people riding to the Mississsipi. It is quite an achievement. Every year it picks a different set of towns and area and it is quite an adventure.  KNOW THAT OUR CARES AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL THE RIDERS AND FRIENDS AND FAMILY. It is quite the achievement. I am not a participant but I do respect their journey and the effort it has taken to accomplish..

In the midst of so many challenges over the last few years I have decided to put more of my music on the main page for you to enjoy while I still can. And to think about the measure of the music from my music over the years. GOD’s music has touched me with all that GOD helped me to write. So much music over years of music written from GOD to share. To tell stories that followed many retreats to impact the themes of the retreats in so many settings. It is my place to share the music with you. As a gift that GOD shared with me, I desire only to share it with many of you. Each song from GOD has a gift for me to share with any of you. I share it with those of you who wish to share it, free of charge, in the same manner the music was given to me to share it with you. It may be a retreat, a simple song for a Sunday morning, or a setting for a senior’s home to share with others. There are many songs from many years.

You will will also find the sharings of growing up, and being touched by so many friends over the years. It has been a special life of smiles and thank yours and historys.
This message in this song is a conversation I had with GOD as a theme for a retreat that I shared with GOD to place a gift for all who will measure GOD’s gift for all of you as a message I share with the most special of friends,  Jesus. From parents and a brother and a sister I AM WORTH one very special gift for all of us. All of us share us with, I AM WORTH and YOU ARE WORTH ONE JESUS TO YOU.

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING ALL

As an older Senior and worker still going to work on a part time job as a housekeeper and food court housekeeper at an OUTLET MALL,  I am often asked  at work “HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY?”

“I respond I MADE IT THIS FAR”. Most respond “I agree”. The world of my daily living is a day of gifts. It seems as though some projects are challenges of the everyday, others are projects to keep me moving. My most recent challenge is the challenge of SENIOR PHONES.

Not to mention most of the computers that are older than most history lessons. GOD is challenged by my daily frustrations and perhaps challenged by many others opening the new Senior this and that. The challenge of the new world order includes all that comes with it in the newest technology. There is, though, one gift that GOD rewards me and most all of you who find frustration in everyday. There was a day when there were no Seniors of everything, just phones you could take with you. You talked to people on your phone and you finished talking and went about your day. No phones went with 2 year olds. No movies on your phone. Making “IT” this far is a gift to having gotten this far. All by itself I have a world of new classes. Junior classes that once were junior high school but which require more technology than I had in Any High School. Patience requires so much more then it used to take, and GOD must be very busy to make the everyday a new normal day. I can not imagine the new everyday that exists for all of our children and their parents. And their teachers. AND THEIR GRAND PARENTS. What I need now is a 2 year old teacher to teach me the new technology that we now call patience. When we discuss GOD and Jesus and Church and FAITH we need to discover the frustrations we have and our children have more to learn then what I have ever had to learn to survive the technology in my world. What we all have to learn now requires all of us learning patience. And respect for them as well as for us.

“I MADE IT THIS FAR”. And so have all of you. KNOW THAT OUR CARES AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU, AND MAY YOUR EVERYDAY BE AMONG YOUR EVERY DAY GIFTS. GOD BLESS.

A JOYFUL DAY

A JOYFUL DAY

GOOD TUESDAY AFTERNOON YOU ALL

So often the Daily Word comes right at a proper time. No matter what is around me the Word is a power of its own.  JOY is just such a word today. I was off to the follow up of my echo-cardiogram from last week. Many of the people that work there have had a contact with me over the last few years. The Word at the end of the meeting could best be called HAPPY. Everything went very well and all the procedures were what they would hope the most for. They were happy for me and I was happy for them. One cannot ignore all the work that happens behind the scenes of the doctors office. The hellos and the the how are you’s are as important as the doctors and nurses.

An elderly lady and her husband were in the office to see the doctor while I was waiting to visit my doctor. It was discovered that her appointment was part of last weeks meeting and today was unnecessary. The staff went right to work. The normal “fee” was removed from her visit expense. The staff arranged for her husband to return to get their car while a wheelchair and staff “driver” for her to meet her husband at the entrance. The wheelchair staffer went and brought the wife a wheelchair to meet her husband as he brought their car to greet her from the parking lot to the entrance so she did not have to walk to the parking lot and her husband only had to get the car to the entrance. JOY filled their hearts as much as any procedure would. JOY is a power to be reckoned with and can make the mundane JOYFUL. As your day progresses, OUR CARES AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND MY JOY IS FULL WITH SMILES.

Once again it is a sunny Sprinter day so far. Warming up to Spring and cooling off at the end of the week. I enjoyed today’s WORD “BOLD” as I think of all the gifts that GOD has shared with me and that I can share with others. It has been the vision that GOD shares through being BOLD with the gifts I have been given. There are many times I may not feel I have done enough, and then GOD gives a moment to share. I am not an exception with GOD when He suggests a caring word that doesn’t need greatness, just a BOLD word for a moment. KNOW THAT OUR CARES AND PRAYERS GO WITH YOU AND THAT BOLD IS SHARING YOURSELF WHEN GOD PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY. Enjoy the day.

GOD’S FUN

GOOD TUESDAY MORNING ALL

Today’s Word just struck me as a powerful message of how to enjoy the happiness that comes with fun. We spend so much time to be sure we are doing the right thing that we can miss what fun has GOD blessed us with. It is the gift of life that brings smiles. It is watching the animals enjoy life everyday that reminds me (us) of the most grateful part of life that we have been given. So for today, smile in the mirror, dance a few steps, look at the fun that GOD gave the animals without worrying. GOD will smile also. It is our gift to GOD to have GOD watch us enjoy all that GOD has given us, and to show GOD just how much fun that GOD created for us to enjoy life. Have FUN.

THOUSANDS OF YEARS

Our desire to pray for all people has been a sacred gift for thousands of years. The innocent have had to fight through wars and weather and changes and the challenges that we all pursue at different times of our lives. There is a power in LOVE that we are all born with and we all have the opportunity to share that love with each other. Every day is a new gift and a remembrance of all those who have shared their lives with the many who have crossed my path and made my life so meaningful.There is not time in a day to remember them all and what they have shared with me. To be able to say thank you for all you have shared with me from childhood to today. I smile as each name is remembered and the power of love gives strength no matter what the day brings. For all of you I have yet to meet I have a sense of well being, not just for them, but what they have shared with me in thought. More often than not the gifts you give to me out way how much I can share with you. Jesus put it this way, “Do unto others as you would have them done unto you”.

Enjoy your days and KNOW THAT OUR CARES AND PRAYERS GO WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.

SNOW: A GREAT DAY

SNOW: A GREAT DAY

“Cheerful is today’s WORD. Mack and Jake did quite well with an inch of snow at 5 AM. I have been planning to sweep the back patio to make short trips while it snows all day. I am challenged to be cheerful. But wait, I have so much to be grateful for. 2 tails wagging every time I walk in, or get out of bed every morning, or when a treat appears by magic. The things that need to be done, make a day, a day. Without the gifts I have, what would make dinner more than peanut butter and jelly. Where would the treats be, or the fall jackets or the winter jackets. I have spent my life watching snow fall and have a white back yard vs brown today. To keep moving every day is the benefit of activity.

I will watch the snow melt and the grass become green, and the seasons bring all the things that the seasons bring. All the things I see, or fix, or clean, remind me that GOD is busy making a new billboard everyday to enjoy. That creates cheerful, and tail wags, and a good walk, and a gift of life. Have a cheerful day and see the billboard that GOD created for you and the dogs. OUR CARES AND PRAYERS GO WITH YOU EVERY DAY.
