GOD IS

I remember the story of Jim (James as he grew to prefer), my best buddy growing up. James was taking a philosophy class in college and the topic of the term paper was to be “What is Life”. James pondered this during the class and when the time came he turned in his paper. Not long after, the papers were graded and handed back to the students. James had received an “A” on his paper. What was it? It was quite simple actually, on the cover was written

What is Life by James XXXXX”,

On the next page it said:

What is Life?

Life is.

That was it. It said it all.

I have read so much that has been handed down ‘by GOD’, the Sabbaoth, the Zeus, the Mars, the Erik, the Allah, the HIM, the HER, the great I AM, Sophia, the great colloquial (depends on the era), the Buddha, the Tao, the whatever.

In the same terms that James expressed life, I see GOD.

GOD IS.

Jesus tells us “GOD is love”, others tell us “GOD is a Great Spirit”, and others “GOD is judgmental, vengeful and retributive”. Still others that “GOD is all knowing, yet uncompromising or non-understanding of personal circumstance.” For many GOD is forgiving in that He sent Jesus to tell us that we are forgiven, yet the same people would say we can’t be forgiven if we don’t accept Jesus as our personal GOD. Did Jesus come as GOD or merely a reflection of what GOD is like?

To many, GOD is just a really big guy in the sky. We die, we go to a gate, in or out is the judgment and then off you go, there or there, door number 1 or door number 2.

GOD created all, yet what created GOD? GOD cannot be within itself, yet being the all. GOD is more than we can comprehend. For the sake of discussion, let us say we could.

If we knew, for sure, who or what GOD was, would that then cause us to act any different than we act now?

We so seek to discover who or what GOD is so that the new knowledge will be the catalyst for change in our life or circumstance. Why?

If our lives or circumstance needs to change why must we somehow authenticate GOD to change it? Why do we need to hear “THE WORD”, or see “THE HOLY SCRIPTURE” to become a ‘better’ person, or find peace within ourselves where we are currently at war with ourselves.

ALL RELIGION HOLDS THEIR WRITINGS TO BE AUTHENTIC, HOLY, INSPIRED, AND THE TRUTH. HAS THIS CREATED ANY MORE LOVE, PEACE, CARING, UNDERSTANDING OR HAPPINESS IN THE WORLD.

The Christian in America, as an example, while preaching the gospel of LOVE ONE ANOTHER, risks other Americans lives to believe as we choose to, at the cost of what we have been given by GOD to satisfy ourselves not other Americans as though our freedom to worship GOD (however we construct GOD) could be taken away by other Americans. Our teacher freely allowed himself to be crucified, yet we, disciples, justify murder (or war) to protect our right to believe what we couldn’t take away from the black by enslaving them, or the Native American Indian by stealing their land, or the Muslim by invading their country or another. We are apparently so weak in our faith that it can be taken from us by any conqueror in any guise and with any promise.

GOD IS.

We can not abide by our own laws, of our own country, in our own land, in our day to day, under our own form of government, with our own chosen leaders, freely elected to represent us. We can’t pick up our own trash, take care of our own property, respect our neighbors’ privacy, quiet, property, safety or security. What makes us believe we can create a better government for anyone else’s country with our own soldiers, on their land, in their country, against their religion or their culture? This led by leaders that fly the flag of Christianity in their personal lives yet cast it aside in their professional lives.

In His time, I believe, that Jesus referred to these as Pharisees.

For a people who believe in an all powerful GOD, certainly GOD must seem to be powerfully weak when we feel that what we believe to be GOD’S HOLY CHARGE to LOVE ONE ANOTHER is weak and inadequate and can not be improved upon by us.

We have a nation that knows how to help each other. We know how to help others throughout the world. We have been challenged as a nation to care for each other, to respect each other and their needs and their choices and not make everyone elses . The morals of years behind us have been replaced by social media and lost souls. We are losing our faith and have become scared to enjoy life and just what it represents in our day to day.

I guess that is just too complicated for us to truly embrace, “LOVE ONE ANOTHER”. We have pushed the envelope to see suicide as a choice to make life easier instead of finding the gifts that we have been given by GOD and people GOD has approached for you. Because it has been so complicated we have yet to implement it where it is most needed. As a result, the Earth we live in is hardly to be confused with the Kingdom of Jesus’ promise. On Earth as it is in Heaven will truly elude us for quite some time to come.

What good is our ‘religion’ if we fail to implement it? Not much, I dare say. IF we are to bring people to CHRIST by our example, perhaps we need to reexamine what our example was and is. Certainly we don’t need the world to be one big East LA with 200+ gangs and more murders each year than most foreign countries experience. Even our small towns and rural communities are challenged. What can we do?

GOD IS.

Let us build our own houses first and people will flock to the kingdom to experience its fullness. Not take advantage of it. Maybe, just maybe, the world would reflect LOVE ONE ANOTHER freely, if they could just see it in action in one place, in its fullness, and all its glory. Just maybe.

UNORTHODOX CHRISTIANITY

UNORTHODOX CHRISTIANITY

FOR THE DISENFRANCHISED

BELONGING
Phase One of the election has finished. Many are disappointed and many are elated.

Today we have seen a unique forum in our American History. I simply can not fathom the number of prayers that went into this election for GOD to deal with. I also realize that the contest will not be over until January 20,2021 to bring reality into play. I have been jotting down some thoughts as the process has been moving along.

First of all:

I have started with my original title from my original website home base because UNORTHODOX CHRISTIANITY grew out of creating a LOVING HOME for the disenfranchised. Those who need an accepting home for ALL those whom GOD created as EQUALS. ALL GOD’S CHILDREN.

Jesus is not a CEO of a business. He mentioned that The Meek shall Inherit the Earth.
Jesus is not an apprentice in a political football game.
Christianity is based on a tenant, a new commandment that was brought forward from JESUS called LOVE ONE ANOTHER. To get your attention and emphasize His point he died on a cross and came back to explain it to you.

Jesus is a lifestyle “Love your neighbor as yourself”.
GOD is LOVE
LOVE does not threaten.
LOVE has no need to threaten.
Threats won’t change the worldly.
Threats do not create love, they just create actors.
Only LOVE can create love.
Only LOVE will be recognized as LOVE.
Behavior threatens.
Behavior creates risks.
LOVE is not measured by RED STATES vs BLUE STATES
THE BIBLE is not a PROP. It is a book of wisdom to either be accepted or ignored.
GOD created the Heaven and the EARTH.
Much like ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL, JESUS had expanded on that thought long before our first politicians came up with their thought of what EQUAL meant.

When the people came with their children for Him to lay hands on them and say a prayer with them the disciples rebuked them and turned them away. Jesus said “Let the little children alone, and do not stop them from coming to me; for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to.” Then laid His hands on them and went on His way.

Jesus also brought up another interesting prayer:
ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

BELONGING

So many AMERICAN’S believe that they are not the right gender, the right color, the right culture. They feel that they are disenfranchised to the simple basics of life in America to this day. If you want to parade the BIBLE around without LOVING ONE ANOTHER, Or have preference of one group over another, or penalizing and ostracizing those who may disagree with you, you should read the NEW TESTAMENT. The GOOD NEWS.

NOW is the Beginning of PHASE TWO of the election. The REAL GREAT AMERICA that the rich have tried to reserve for themselves and THE NEW WORLD ORDER has done AMERICA no good. AMERICA deserves a second chance to be truly great the first time. To be grateful for the people that have made AMERICA what it is. THE PEOPLE. The protectors, the military, the police, the workers, the miners, the first responders, all colors, all cultures, all faiths, all Church denominations and all beliefs who have worked the hardest for America. The ones for whom many businesses want them to do 40 hours of work with a 20 hour paycheck. The ones that work two and three or more jobs to get to the poverty level and enough to buy a place to live and groceries to eat. The families that need health care in a country that puts more value in their profit as apposed to their people.

BELONGING is the strongest human emotion as you go through life. Our strength has ALWAYS been our diversity. OUR diversity that has included CHRISTIANS, MUSLIMS, HINDU’S, BUDDHISTS,and more. NATIVE BORN AMERICAN INDIANS, ASIANS, EUROPEANS, and every other country. GAY, STRAIGHT, and LOVING PEOPLE from around the world coming here to help AMERICA be a HEAVEN ON EARTH, unlike any other nation in it’s scope in the world. PEOPLE who come here with the intention to BELONG. TO be ACCEPTED. To be WELCOMED as all the others have been coming here over the years to be.

AMERICA should not be based on being a third world country with a $26 trillion debt and an upper class investor society that likes all the accouterments that these immigrants and natives have provided for as little money as possible.

WE THE PEOPLE have only progressed to PHASE 2. WE THE PEOPLE have a long way to go to make AMERICA GREAT WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

ON POLITICS – The New Immigration

ON POLITICS – The New Immigration

ON POLITICS : The New Immigration
Religion has always had a political forum. Religion controls many countries. We in America are not exempt. In fact we have more religions and different versions of religions, vying for power than any other nation on the face of the earth. I call these comments ON POLITICS, not because Religion is exempt, but because Jesus told us to watch for them.

Todays Subject: Re: Effect from Illegal Immigration

A friend forwarded the following note to me the other day.
A former teacher at a Title 1 school said, and I totally agree with her:
This teacher really lays it out – it can’t get much worse.”

Nine hundred teachers just got laid off from the Los Angeles Unified School District. They are $650,000 over their annual budget. The following comments by an English teacher help to explain one area that looms large over California’s educational crisis. I hope each person receiving this mail will read it carefully, all the way to the end. It is sad what is happening to our great country, all because our politicians are afraid they will miss out on a vote. What a travesty!
This English teacher has phrased it the best I’ve seen yet and it should make everyone think, be you Democrat, Republican or Independent.
From a California school teacher….

As you are listening to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of: I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title-1 school, meaning that its students average in the lower socio-economic and income levels. Most of the schools you are hearing about are Compton, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc., where their students are protesting – these are also Title-1 schools.
Title-1 schools are on the free-breakfast and free-lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I’m not talking about a glass of milk and a roll. But a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make the Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. (Our tax dollars at work!)
I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids. (More of our tax dollars at work!)
I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department, or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything. My budget was already substantial, but I ended up buying new computers for the Computer Learning Center, half of which, one month later, were carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America. (More and more of our tax dollars at work!)
I have had to intervene several times for young substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months, who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them putas (whores) and throwing things, that the teachers were in tears.
Free medical care, free education, free food, free day care, etc., etc., etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled not only to be in this country, but also to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?
To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society, because they happen to like their gardener and/or housekeeper, and they like to pay less for tomatoes, I say: Spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the true costs.
Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases, etc., etc., etc. For me, I’ll pay more for tomatoes.
Americans, we need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won’t have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?
It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by age 15, and that refuses to assimilate, plus an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “political correctness,” that we don’t have the will to do what is needed.
If this makes your blood boil, as it did mine, forward this to everyone you know including your Congressman and Senators.
Cheap labor? Isn’t that what the whole immigration issue is about? Business doesn’t want to pay a decent wage. Consumers don’t want expensive produce. Government will tell you ‘Americans don’t want the jobs. ‘But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase “cheap labor”is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “cheap labor.”
Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an income tax return, he gets an “earned income credit” of up to $3,200, free.
Also….
1 He qualifies for Section-8 housing and subsidized rent;
2 He qualifies for food stamps;
3 He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care;
4 His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school;
6 He requires bilingual teachers and books;
7 He qualifies for relief from high energy bills;
8 If they are, or become aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI;
9 Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare (All of this at taxpayer’s {our} expense);
10 He doesn’t worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowner’s insurance;
11 Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material;
12 He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour
in benefits;
13 Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills and his;
14 The American taxpayers also pays for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.
Cheap labor? Yeah right! Wake up people! These are the questions we should be addressing to the Presidential candidates for either party.
We must take action or we will all go down the drain because a few don’t care. And if you think this is bad, just wait until a Democrat becomes President and the redistribution of wealth becomes the norm in this ex-Democracy.”

NOW MY COMMENTS ABOUT THIS – Dennis Wheeler

Keep in mind that I have been watching this “immigrant” event from El Paso, TX and no miles from the Mexican boarder. It comes from hearing the press and politicians complaining that El Paso and other border communities do not take care of or provide for these immigrants up to “their” standards. That in May, 2019 a month ago, 140+ THOUSAND immigrants came across the border somewhere and were simply dropped off at these border towns to be taken care of from overnights, to many nights. And it does not stop for catch up. It merely adds more, day after day after day. None of the politicians who came down here to make political statements to bolster their political campaigns and desires wrote checks to pay for the supplies, bought blankets or clothing or helped plumbers run water lines for clean water to go into vacant buildings that were never designed to absorb thousands of people immediately and then more the next day and the day after that. None of the ACLU people, investigators, Congress people have taken any to their homes to feed them, cloth them, or adopt their children. None has paid for us to bring them to their home town so that they would have the opportunity to show the world how it is done “right” in California (57,000 HOMELESS), or Ohio, or New York, or Chicago. This is where my response comes from.

I want to go back a moment to remind you of a comment from the above teacher diatribe:

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by age 15, and that refuses to assimilate, plus an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “political correctness,” that we don’t have the will to do what is needed.”

I agree with this opinion from the cost issue save one fact that does not appear on any nightly news investigative report.It does not appear in any major newspaper. It is not the topic of any political campaign or nightly politically focused channel discussion.
All that money goes to some sort of business in America, or is sent home to the family or business or government from which the immigrant has come.
The breakfast that gets thrown away, the computers that gets graffitied, the day care People, the cell phone people.

The money that business makes off of illegal immigrants is the issue.

Not the illegal for merely taking advantage of it.

All these immigrants represent a charge to get them to America. Who is paying the Bill? Do you know why?

Businesses know enough in America that it is well worth their effort to be sure that the welfare line stays long and for a long time. The govt money paying all these businesses is where our 20 trillion dollar debt has come from. It makes it look like we have great employment to keep the welfare line taken care of, the crime controlled, the border patrolled and on and on. Giving more tax breaks to businesses merely adds an incentive to them to bring more welfare on line. Not less. The culprit is not the poor. It is the same people we just gave a bunch of tax breaks to.
Do the math. The grocery store makes more, hires more people. The school district makes more from the government, per student. The food producer, the manufacturer, the shipper and distribution people, the farmer, the lawyers, the doctor’s, and on and on and on. I have heard this diatribe before and it never answers the question
“WHO GETS THE MONEY?”
BUSINESS. Property rentals, tents, construction workers to provide for housing, grocery, clothing, medical, and on and on. This is not just welfare for immigrants, it is welfare for BUSINESS because we have let BIG BUSINESS send all our jobs to other countries to MAKE MORE MONEY.
What is on our MONEY? “In GOD we trust.” MONEY IS OUR GOD.

Stop the welfare and you stop immigration at its artificially created high.
The Congressional votes you speak of are based more on campaign contributers making money off of welfare and not losing business than to fiscal responsibility made necessary caused by our wealthiest to invest more in themselves than our nation.  The debt has mushroomed over the years to feed the rich and not to make us “great again”. We can not be great again owing more money as a nation than any nation has ever been on the face of the earth. Trillions of dollars in GDP paid for by trillions more of national debt doesn’t strike me as the foundation for great again. To artificially create people’s income based on debt helps no one. The part time worker who used to be the full time worker with benefits is now being supported by trillions in fake money to create more billionaires. Go figure. That same part time worker who is making less for his hard work which makes the company do well but it does less for them is only being rewarded for his or her hard work by creating an enormous debt load for their children so that the owners and investors can take advantage of their effort.

In my world of Unorthodox Christianity I explain it like this:

Success AT ANother’s expense.

America will never be great again based on a huge debt load to have the appearance of great wealth. Buying GDP with fake money and debt is not the recipe for GREAT AGAIN. It is the recipe of disaster. Until we, as a nation, choose to invest in AMERICA again and spread the wealth around to all those who helped create it, we will never be “GREAT” again. Ever.
